Any carbon emissions we are unable to reduce and avoid are calculated and offset via carbon offsetting projects which are regulated through the Verra – Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), the Gold Standard – Voluntary Emission Reductions (VER) and the United Nations – Certified Emission Reductions (CER) programmes. 

Certified through the Woodland Fund™ and the Climate Fund™, Profyle has successfully balanced out its entire carbon footprint by investing in internationally accredited carbon offset projects. These projects have been carefully chosen for their ability to not only neutralise emissions but also have a positive global impact through contributions to education, job creation, access to clean water, and preservation of local wildlife and ecosystems.

As part of our certification, we also develop an annual Carbon Reduction Plan inline with Science Based Targets and the UK Government Requirements for Carbon Reduction Planning. In 2024 we managed to make a significant positive reduction in our emissions, resulting in the need to offset less emissions in total!
